Maintenance Free Power Backup Systems

Equipped with up to 3 tons of battery banks, the MDC can survive up to 48 hours of power outage. The configurable power saving algorithm can automatically and/or manually (remotely) reduce power consumption, by gradually disconnecting power to non-mission critical hardware. This unique approach eliminates the need for generators that require re-fueling and constant maintenance. The MDC’s batteries should be replaced every 15 years.

Multi-Layer Security Concept & 24/7 monitoring service

The MDC Multi-Layer security concept permits differential physical access levels to Air-Conditioning units, Power & Batteries systems and to the internal data-center area. Accordingly, the data/hardware security would not be compromised by any maintenance operation of AC and/or power systems. The CFTV & on-board alarm system can be remotely viewed and controlled 24/7 by the MDC operation center.

Cooling Systems

Utilizing extremely efficient 48VDC air-conditioning the MDC’s cooling system delivers the highest BTU/Watt ratio. The internal division between the data-center compartment and the battery banks allows the selective cooling of mission critical hardware in case of power outage.

Advantages

2201-02

Minimal deployment and operational requirements

In order to simply expedite the deployment of the unit, the electric system was engineered to be compatible with any type of grid situation (3,2 or 1 phases). Practically, the MDC is designed to be connected to the grid by any local electrician without the need for special training and/or equipment. The integral steel legs eliminate the need for infrastructure perpetration (concrete bases etc). The iMAMS remote monitoring platform substitutes local support personal and guarantee the complete control of the client over the operational status of the units.

Low Cost of Ownership

The P3 product family was designed to reduce to minimum the cost of ownership. Priced at extremely competitive prices, and with minimal operating costs the MDC can be acquired and easily maintained even by clients with modest financial resources. With extremely low electric bills, of-the-shelf spare parts, and practically no need for local system administrator, the MDC provides a reliable solution the fraction of the cost of comparable container based Data-Centers.

Collocation capabilities, cost sharing & business model

The MDC data-center is equipped with collocation racks. Accordingly, it permits safe space sharing between several clients. The collocation capability allows operating cost sharing and/or a business model that turns the unit to a profit center.

Remote Operations

Mouse

The software platform that communicates with HAL2D2 and remotely controls all the MDCs system is the iMAMS (Integrated Monitoring & Maintenance System). The iMAMS is a scalable remote monitoring platform. It was developed based on IIN’s field proven command & control platform – the iMARS (integrated Monitoring & Response System). The iMAMS also enables full control of a large “fleet” of MDCs from a central client location.

One of the MDC’s key features is remote operation. The unit “brain” that connects all the sensors and controls of all systems is a redundant on-board controller named HAL2D2. The HAL2D2 reports in real-time to the MDC operation center and/or client NOC the status of all vital systems of the unit including: temperature, humidity, electric systems, grounding status, grid information, batteries charging level, security & access control systems, air-conditioning, ventilation, fire & flood sensors & controls to name a few.
